WARNING: Potential spoilers for Captain Marvel follow.
While Marvel has announced a wealth of talent for the Brie Larson solo caper, due out next year, only some of the characters they’re playing have been formally announced.
Remember this all remains unconfirmed by Marvel bosses, so should be treated with caution for the time being.
Annette Benning, who was previously thought to be some kind of miscellaneous “scientist”, is said in this leak to be playing Carol’s (Larson) mother Marie Danvers.
Kenneth Mitchell, meanwhile, is said to be playing the titular hero’s father, Joseph.
As previously announced, Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou are back as Ronan and Korath, while former EastEnders star Robert Kazinsky is thought to be playing an assassin called Paibook.
Algenis Soto is another assassin called Titannus, while Rune Temte is thought to be signed up as Skrull Emperor Dorrek
Lashana Lynch’s role is allegedly Carol’s best friend Maria Rambeau, while Ben Mendelsohn is seemingly playing Kree commander Yon-Rogg.
Vik Sahay is said to be “wisecracking” NASA engineer Jay Patel, while Pete Ploszek will apparently play Carol’s ex Mike Ross.
It’s already common knowledge that Gemma Chan is signed on to play Minn-Erva, Samuel L Jackson is reprising Nick Fury, and Jude Law is Mar-Vell.
McKenna Grace’s role is not mentioned in the leak.
Again, many of these have not been confirmed by Marvel – so may be off-base.
In any case, we’ll know when Captain Marvel hits cinemas on March 8, 2019.
