HUGE Undertaker update ahead of wrestling return – WWE legend Edge makes big revelation | WWE | Sport

The WWE Hall of Famer submitted to the Hell’s Gate and lost the title to Undertaker who extended his undefeated WrestleMania streak to 16 consecutive victories at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Many expected Taker to stand tall at Mania but nobody could guess what happened backstage at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

According to Wrestling Inc, Edge told his legendary tag team partner Christian during an episode of their podcast E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness that he gave The Deadman his kick-pads as well as his tights and the seven-time world champion handed him his gloves.

The 11-time world champion said: “The only time I have exchanged gear with someone was with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 24.

“I gave him my kick-pads and my tights from that and I got his gloves. It is pretty cool. I am glad I got that memory.

“I saved everything; all my gear over the years; my trench coats and stuff that I have saved. It is all packed away nicely and neatly in vacuum-sealed bags and all that stuff.

“One day if the girls decide they want to do something with it—whether they want to give it away to charity, or buy a slushy with it, I don’t know, but it’ll be there.”

The WWE legends exchanged their gear as a sign of respect and sportsmanship the same way as football players do after a match.

Edge was forced to retire in 2011 just after retaining the World Heavyweight title against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 27 due to a series of neck injuries.

Undertaker makes very sporadic appearances for WWE and mainly performs at WrestleMania.

Many thought he retired at WrestleMania 33 after losing an emotional bout to Roman Reigns as he broke character and laid down his signature jacket, gloves and hat in the middle of the ring before saluting the crowd.

The ex-WWE Champion, however, returned at WrestleMania 34 where he destroyed John Cena in less than three minutes and then beat Rusev at the Greatest Royal Rumble in a Casket Match.

The former World Heavyweight Champion is now set to team up with Reigns and Braun Strowman at a live event at Madison Square Garden where they will take on Kevin Owens, Elias and Baron Corbin in a Six-Man Tag Team Match on July 7.

The Phenom will also face Triple H for the last time ever at WWE Super Show-Down at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on October 6.
