Melania Trump: Does she have siblings? Secret doppelganger sister | Life | Life & Style

Melania Trump, 48, is the wife of US President Donald Trump, 72.

Not much is known about the background of her family, who originate from Slovenia.

However, it is believed the First Lady has one older sister, Ines Knauss, 50.

What’s more, she is believed to be close friends with Ines, who is an artist.

Ines lives in a $2 million one bedroom flat in Park Avenue which is owned by the Trump Organisation, according to the NY Post.

“They are very close,” philanthropist Audrey Gruss told NY Post in 2017 of the sisters’ relationship.

“She struck me as a lovely person, and extremely creative.”

The two sisters moved from Slovenia together in the early 1990s, said the NY Post article.

Melania worked as a model while Ines tried unsuccessfully to become a fashion designer.

It is believed Ines was maid of honour at Melania’s wedding to Donald Trump in 2005, according to People Magazine.

Melania and Ines were last pictured together in 2005 at a Valentino Fashion Luncheon.

With their honey coloured hair and almost identical features, the sisters could be twins.

Melania also has a half brother, Denis Cigelnjak, who shares her father Viktor Knauss.

However, Denis told GQ in an interview he had never met his father or half sisters.

Recently, it was revealed Melania Trump did not wish Donald Happy Birthday.

His eldest child Ivanka Trump posted a picture with her father Donald Trump for the special occasion.

An advisor to the president, Ivanka posted a message to social media website Instagram in a public display of love for her father.

However, Donald’s wife did not post such a message to her own social media account.

The last time she used her Twitter account Melania promoted an anti-drugs campaign.

She wrote: “Thank you @HHSGov & @CMSGov for all you do to protect our children.”

However, she did not post anything about Donald Trump’s birthday on Monday this week.
