Queen Elizabeth II, 92, has invited newlywed Meghan Markle, 36, on her first solo tour without husband Prince Harry on Thursday as the pair travel to Cheshire together.

The Queen accompanied by the Duchess of Sussex, will officially open Storyhouse, Chester’s new £37 million theatre and the Mersey Gateway Bridge, at the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre.

They will also attend a lunch at Chester Town Hall.

Pictures include Meghan’s first public outing with the Queen in 2017 when she joined the Royal Family at St Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk for the traditional Christmas day service.

Meghan has also been pictured with the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey for a Commonwealth Day Service and the Royal Albert Hall for the Queen’s birthday party.
