Reigns is currently feuding with Shane McMahon and will face WWE minority owner at Super ShowDown on June 7 at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
Rumours suggest he will go on to fight McMahon and Drew McIntyre in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match at Extreme Rules which takes place on July 14 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
According to Ringside News, The Big Dog may then enter a brand a new programme with another rival and that could be Orton.
The Viper is one of WWE’s most celebrated veterans as he is a 13-time world champion that has beaten a raft of legends like John Cena, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and many more.
The Apex Predator is now set to rekindle his rivalry with his former Evolution mentor Triple H at Super ShowDown.
However, that feud won’t carry on after their fight in Jeddah and will soon be in need of a new angle.
But Reigns’ intense rivalry with Shane may continue for a long time and could even carry on after Extreme Rules.
That means Orton could join forces with McMahon in order to book the new rivalry in a smooth way.
Shane and Reigns got embroiled into a feud after the four-time world champion took out Shane-O-Mac’s father Vince McMahon on his first night on SmackDown.
Since then the former SmackDown Commissioner has promised to avenge the assault and has enlisted the help of McIntyre as well as recently-crowned WWE 24/7 Champion Elias.
Reigns defeated Elias in just 10 seconds at Money in the Bank but the two may meet again in the ring.
The ex-WWE Champion also defeated McIntyre at WrestleMania 35 in his first Singles Match since his miraculous recovery from leukaemia.
The former Universal Champion was diagnosed with the terrible disease for the second time last October but overcame it in four months.
He then joined SmackDown where he features as the brand’s top superstar ahead of the show’s move to Fox on October 4.
However, the 34-year-old star still appears on RAW occasionally as part of the Wild Card Rule, which allows up to four superstars to cross over to different brands each week.
