Sophie Countess of Wessex at Ascot: Did she wear Diana’s ring Meghan wore? | Style | Life & Style

Sophie Countess of Wessex, 53, looked beautiful in pale lavender at Royal Ascot yesterday.

The blonde, born Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones, is the wife of the Queen’s youngest son.

The former-PR girl worked for Capital Radio before she married her husband in 1999.

The pretty blonde, mother to Lady Louise Windsor, 14, and James Viscount Severn, 10, has been at Ascot every day this year.

Her outfit consisted of a pretty shirt dress with belt and a full shirt with mini pleats.

Her saucer hat was covered in pretty pink and purple feathers.

However, eagled eyed may have noticed a detail about the outfit that look somewhat similar.

On her ring finger on her right hand Sophie wore a large blue stone.

The piece looks strikingly similar to Diana’s aquamarine and diamond ring.

The Princess of Wales took to wearing the gem on her ring finger, replacing her engagement ring from Prince Charles.

Meghan Markle wore Diana’s aquamarine and diamond ring for her wedding reception at Frogmore House.

But is it the same one?

Princess Diana’s Asprey ring was created in 1997 and had a band on 24 carat yellow-gold.

However, Sophie’s ring appears to be set on a pale metal band.

The Countess may have been inspired by Meghan’s wedding reception accessory.

Meghan Markle attended Royal Ascot 2018 for the fist time this year.

The recently married former-actress retained her bridal glow at the event.

Meghan, 36, smiled at the cameras as she looked directly at photographers.

Royal Ascot 2018 worst dressed has included some cringe-worthy fashion fails.

Ladies sporting some of the most inventive hats possible descended on the race course today.
