Spider-Man 2 Far From Home PLOT: Marvel boss reveals it is set BEFORE Avengers 4? | Films | Entertainment

How is Marvel going to bring back all those heroes who are not only loved by fans but apparently essential for Phase 4?

Spider-Man broke hearts with his poignant “I don’t want to go” scene, but fans already know he will be back in the Homecoming sequel.

Did Kevin Feige just tease that the next movie will be set after Infinity War but before Avengers 4?

He also explained the title and revealed what the movie is about.

Feige told io9: “Well, when does that movie take place? We know it’s the summer. I think it’s summer vacation. I think he’s going to Europe with his friends.

“I don’t know what summer… I mean, I do know (but you don’t).”

It was already reported that the 23rd Marvel Cinematic Universe release will be filmed on location across Europe, including London.

Now we know two major new things.

Firstly, the movie won’t be school-based and the summer holiday setting will likely continue the sunnier, bright and playful tone that Tom Holland has brought the role.

Much more intriguing is the comment “I don’t know what summer.”

Is Feige implying that it might be the summer after Peter Parker’s debut battle with Vulture but before Thanos unleashes The Snap?

Holland already admitted last week he wasn’t sure how or if his character was actually brought back to life, saying: “I don’t know much about it. I’m a little confused because, um, I died, so I don’t really know how it all comes into play.”

Months ago, Sony producer Amy Pascal said the film: “will start a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story.”

However that could all have changed, since Marvel are calling the shots in this story arc not Sony.

Even more brain-bending is the popular concept of other “whens.” Alternate timelines and dimensions are common in Marvel comics and many fans are convinced that is the only way out of The Snap.

Although, Feige himself told io9 last year: “How the hell are the events of Infinity War and Untitled [Avengers] going to affect him (Peter Parker) as he, yes, goes back to his junior year?”

Schools need to start teaching classes in how to figure out the current MCU…
