TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: Latest Premier League gossip and updates from across Europe
Wednesday, June 20
08:00: Chelsea are set to confirm Maurizio Sarri as their new manager.
Sarri’s agent has arrived in London for final talks with Stamford Bridge bosses.
All being well the deal should be confirmed by the end of the week.
The Blues will pay Napoli £4.4m to release Sarri, 59, from his contract.
It means Antonio Conte is set to be let go after two years in charge.
Liverpool star’s medical
07:45: Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will finally have a medical at Juventus this week.
Can has been trailed by the Turin club since last summer.
His contract is set to expire at Anfield, meaning he can move to Serie A on a free transfer.
Can rejected a new contract offer from Liverpool and the 24-year-old will have his medical in Turin before completing the switch.
Arsenal complete signing
07:30: Arsenal have signed goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
The deal has cost the Gunners £20m and he will likely replace Petr Cech as the No 1 at the Emirates.
He tweeted: “Happy and proud to play [for] this great club @Arsenal in the future!
“I’ll do my best and I’m looking forward to the start of the new season as a Gunner.”
Man Utd budget
07:00: Manchester United will need to stretch their transfer budget to accommodate Jose Mourinho’s targets.
That is according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim Mourinho has drawn up a pricey wish list this summer.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could cost as much as £100m, while Gareth Bale and Toby Alderweireld won’t come cheap.
United have already committed to paying £70m for midfielder Fred and defender Diogo Dalot this summer.
And the boss may easily top the £250m mark if he is to land all his targets, although player sales may help to outweigh some of the spend.
Hazard to Real Madrid
06:30: Eden Hazard should join Real Madrid, says former Belgium assistant manager Vital Borkelmans.
Real are keen to land the Chelsea star, who this week admitted he is aware of their interest.
And Borkelmans said: “I think now is the moment that Hazard has to move, which will most likely be to Spain.
“He has played a lot of years in the Premier League, but I think it’s time for him to move on.”
