Arsenal host the Toffees at the Emirates in today’s late kick-off (4pm) as boss Unai Emery looks to continue his winning run in the Premier League.
But ahead of arriving at the stadium earlier today, Alexandre Lacazette and Granit Xhaka took to Instagram to troll team-mate Aubameyang.
The Gabon international – who is known for some of his outrageous clothing choices – decided to wear some gold sparkly trainers with his Arsenal match suit ahead of the game.
And Lacazette and Xhaka both posted videos of Aubameyang preparing to get on the team bus.
The pair zoomed in on the shocking trainers and both can be heard sniggering at Aubameyang’s outlandish style.
But Aubameyang didn’t take too kindly to Lacazette’s trolling and duly turned around and flicked the v’s at the Frenchman.
The Gabon international started for the Gunners alongside Lacazette for this afternoon’s clash with Everton.
Meanwhile, former Premier League ace Jamie Redknapp believes Aubameyang must start affecting the big games if he wants to go down as a legend with the Gunners.
“I think he can be really dangerous, especially alongside Alexandre Lacazette, who he seems to have great chemistry with, but I was surprised to see him compared to Thierry Henry recently,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“You can’t talk about him in the same breath yet, because what Thierry did was affect big games in the Premier League. Aubameyang has got to start doing that.
“When they play Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, that’s when you want to see Aubameyang scoring goals.
“If he’s going to earn comparisons with Henry, I think that’s the next step for him.”
