fans only saw the Hulk once in Avengers Infinity War, right at the beginning on the Asgardian ship.

Sadly after that Bruce was unable to Hulk out, something directors the Russo Brothers claim is because the big green superhero is tired of being at Banner’s beck and call.

Nevertheless Avengers 4 concept art has shown the Hulk will be back and now Ruffalo has teased the character’s future in next year’s sequel.

Speaking with , the star said: “I can’t really talk about it, what I want, because I’ve had so much a hand in where it’s going, my own little hand.”

He continued:“But I will say that I want to see this conflict carried out and see where that takes us and see, can they come to terms with it?

“Do they get a moment? I always thought it would be great to see them in some sort of subspace where they get to battle it out with Banner’s brains as some sort of his own superpower, like psych weaponry or psi weaponry against Hulk’s brute strength and have these two characters battle it out.

“I always thought that would be the ultimate comic book ending or something, opening to these characters.”

Some fans reckon, since Hulk is clothed in the Avengers 4 concept art, he will become Professor Hulk – a sort of hybrid with Bruce Banner’s intellect and possible consciousness.

He added: “He’s always teased Hulk versus Wolverine would be pretty fun.”

But sadly for Ruffalo, Jackman has already bowed out as Wolverine in last year’s Logan, but perhaps another actor could fill his shoes.

Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
