British Soap Awards 2019 worst dressed: Which soap stars missed the mark?

The British Soap Awards 2019 buzz is in full swing, with stars already taking to the red carpet ahead of tonight’s ITV show. This year, the ceremony is being held at the Lowry Theatre, in Salford, Manchester. They will gather together with the hope of winning a number of awards – three of which are voted for by the telly-watching public. Yet while it is a big diary date for some stars, who have made the best dressed lists, some of the outfits on what was a very hot night in Manchester may have missed the mark – what do you think?

Actor Callum Harrison stars in Coronation Street as Clayton Hibbs, yet divided some with his bold checked suits.

He paired the two-tone outfit with trainers, and a dark waistcoat and tie.

Meanwhile his co-star Melanie Hill who plays Cathy Matthews own the same soap, plumped for a quirky white shirt with cut-out panels, and a black suit.

Jessica Fox, who stars as unlucky in love Nancy Osborne in Hollyoaks, may have worn a dress that was not for everyone.

It featured a black bustier style top with a tiered skirt, in net fabric.

Meanwhile, her fellow Hollyoaks cast member Rachel Adedeji puzzled some in a flowing blue patterned dress which slinked across the floor.

Adding to the very bold print, she plumped for a gold chocker necklace which covered the entirety of her neck and chest.

Lysette Anthony, who plays Marnie Nightingale on the Cheshire-Based soap, also raised eyebrows with a brown dress.

Thalia Storm, who is not a soap star but is known for X Factor and Celebs Go Dating fame, could well have missed the mark in a turquoise dress, which kept creeping up her legs.

Emmerdale’s Natalie Ann Jamieson’s chooice of attire also baffled some.

Ruby O’Donnell, who plays Peri Lomax, looked fabulous but may well have been super hot in her fur dress, with fluffy panels on top and bottom.

The British Soap Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ITV and will start at 8pm

The British public have voted for three categories – these being Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Soap.

Philip Schofield hosts the star-studded ceremony.

Viewers will find out the long awaited results this evening.
