The Florida Department of Health reported 6,257 new COVID-19 cases and 39 newly verified deaths Thursday.

The cumulative number of Florida cases is now 827,380 and the reported death toll for state residents since the pandemic began is 16,961.

The number of Florida residents hospitalized with COVID-19 is 50,077 since the pandemic began. The Department of Health notes the total figure is cumulative and does not reflect the number of COVID-19 patients currently in hospitals.
