The Florida Department of Health on Saturday reported 269 new cases of COVID-19 in Lee County and and revised the overall death toll in Lee County on Saturday.

Lee County’s cumulative number of cases is 64,693, and the total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 has been revised to 933.

On Friday, the state reported 937 deaths in Lee County. The Department of Health advises that the data in its COVID-19 reports are provisional and subject to change. In some cases, deaths are reassigned to the correct Florida county or state of residence.

Yesterday’s numbers: Lee County COVID update: State reports 218 new cases, two additional deaths

According to the state Department of Health 2,171 people in Lee County have been hospitalized for COVID-19 since the agency started collecting data, but that number does not reflect people currently in the hospital.   

The health department is not reporting how many people have recovered from COVID-19
