The multi-talented artist has unveiled Dance Like Nobody’s Watching as the latest cut from her 2018 album Wild Wild Wonderland, which peaked at No2 in her native Finland. The track follows Monsters, which was her entry at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 and featured on several year-end pop singles lists. Listen below.
Dance Like Nobody’s Watching was originally a stripped-back piano ballad on the album but now has mid-tempo EDM-style production for its UK radio edit.
Saara appeared on Heart Radio this morning to debut the new version, with the accompanying video set to premiere in the near future.
She confirmed last week that Dancing On Ice professional partner Hamish Gaman will co-star in the clip.
The couple made history on the show by having Saara singing during her performance in only her second week on the ice; performing Let It Go from Frozen.
However she faced a major setback at the weekend when she landed in the skate-off – despite coming fourth with the judges.
She ultimately survived, at the expense of Grease icon Didi Conn, and will now be hoping to avoid a repeat appearance in the bottom two this Sunday.
Her new single has been going down a storm with fans online, and Aalto tweeted overnight that she was blown away by the response.
“I can’t believe the reaction the UK Radio Edit is getting! I’m so happy!” she posted.
“I have to go to sleep soon though as I am on @thisisheart from 8AM.”
Aalto came to attention in the UK on The X Factor in 2016, where she polled second behind Matt Terry.
She then went on to compete for Finland at Eurovision in 2017.
Dance Like Nobody’s Watching (UK Radio Edit) by Saara Aalto is out now.
