FHP: One teen dead, another in serious condition after crash in Alva

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that killed a teen Wednesday in Lee County.

At 2:19 p.m., crews were dispatched to Palm Beach Boulevard and Broadway Street in Alva.

The crash involved a box truck and a car. A teen passenger in the car died, according to Florida Highway Patrol Public Affairs Lt. Greg Bueno.

The teen driver of the car was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The identities of those involved in the crash were not released.

Troopers continue to investigate.
