Fort Myers woman seriously injured in early morning crash along I-75 in Estero

A 21-year-old Fort Myers woman was seriously injured Wednesday when she lost control of her car on I-75 in Estero.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the woman was driving her sedan south on the interstate when she drove across the center and right lanes and onto the grass shoulder.

The right side and the rear of the car collided with a tree shortly after 12:30 a.m.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to FHP.
