Kim Porter, the former girlfriend of rapper Diddy, died from pneumonia, a coroner says.
Los Angeles coroner’s office released the results of its investigation into the mother-of-four’s death and found she died from natural causes on 15 November last year.
The 47-year-old was the former partner of rapper and record producer Sean “Diddy” Combs and mother to three of his children.
Numerous celebrities, including Usher, Mary J Blige and Lil’ Kim attended her funeral, which ended in fireworks.
Combs also gave a eulogy.
Rapper Missy Elliot was among those who paid tribute to Porter on Twitter, saying her “heart just aches so much 4 her children”.
She wrote: “She Loved them dearly she was proud of her kids & they Loved their mother so much.
“Prayers for @Diddy during such a difficult time. #KimPorter those that know you will always remember your SMILE your LAUGH & KIND HEART.”
50 Cent wrote: “R.I.P to Kim Porter, I send my condolences to her friends and family. She was loved and will be missed dearly.
“I know Puff is hit right now, he loved her for real, soul mate type s***. Chin up puff, Positive vibes only.”
Combs, 49, was with Porter on and off from 1994 until they split for good in 2007.
During her acting career, Porter appeared in the 2011 film Mama I Want To Sing and on the TV series Wicked Wicked Games in 2006 and 2007.
In 2002, during one of their break-ups, Porter took Diddy to court over child support but the couple later reunited and had their twins four years later.
However, they broke up again – six months after the girls were born – with Porter saying it was her decision at the time.
After her death, Combs said the pair had an “unexplainable relationship” and were “more than soulmates” in tweets.
Paramedics arrived at Porter’s home in Toluca Lake on 15 November after calls saying she was unresponsive.
She was declared dead soon after they arrived.
