A 46-year-old man faces charges in a March 15 Fort Myers shooting death, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said Monday.
Luis Rodriguez Aldama is charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies had responded to Ortiz Circle in reference to a shooting. Detectives determined a victim inside a bedroom had several gunshot wounds and was declared dead.

Deputies quickly detained an armed male, later identified as Rodriguez Aldama. They did not identify the victim.
Detectives collected evidence and witness statements, obtaining probable cause to arrest Aldama.
“This crime is nothing short of senseless, and now this criminal will face the consequences of his actions,” Marceno said.
