Florida Highway Patrol said a Leigh Acres motorist pointed a gun at a woman and child in Alva after a crash Thursday, leading to his arrest.

A woman and her minor child were driving in a sedan west on Palm Beach Boulevard when a man in a pickup, also driving west, brandished a 9 mm Ruger handgun, according to a news release.

Gregory Dale Snowden, 59, of Lehigh Acres, was driving the pickup, and the front of his truck struck the left side of the sedan.

The collision caused significant damage to the driver’s side door of the sedan, the release states.
