A Lehigh Acres woman missing since her release from a local treatment center on Sunday has been found dead.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday evening reported that Eleni Barrabi was located and detectives are conducting a non-suspicious death investigation.
Further details were unavailable.
The family of Barrabi had been hoping tips and sightings would pan out and they would be reunited with the 62-year-old.
Her daughter, Daniella Paez, who lives in Georgia, had gone on Facebook to plead for information.
“I’m asking all of my mom’s friends if they’ve had any contact with her or know her whereabouts, to please contact me,” Paez said.
She said her mom was released from the center with a bus ticket and did not have her purse or cell phone with her.
“She has been missing since Sunday,” Paez said. “Please let me know if you’ve seen or spoken to her.”
She has reportedly been seen near the Walmart off Colonial Boulevard and Six Mile Cypress in Fort Myers on Sunday, but when deputies arrived she was not to be found.
