Liberals will destroy America’s economy

Watching the liberal Biden voters celebrating the demise of the Keystone XL pipeline illustrates the delusional thinking of the liberal mind. Do they think this oil is now going to stay in the ground? Of course not, it will continue to be shipped by rail and truck, the most dangerous and environmentally dirty way to ship it.

Additionally, thousands of jobs were eliminated, people with families, good union jobs. Biden told those people to go install solar panels for $15 an hour. This is just the beginning of the liberal plan to destroy America’s economy, while Russia, India and China continue to build coal and gas plants every day.

The liberal elites will bankrupt our country, and it won’t reduce carbon emissions enough to even be a blip in the warming of the planet.

President Biden ruining the country

President Biden and his band of idiots are ruining this country as fast as they can. Everything they have done so far is anti-American. I still believe the election was stolen; to go from what we had with Trump to what we got with Biden is too far of a reach for me. Is this what all those millions who supposedly voted for Biden wanted; the ruination of the USA?

Law puts Florida students at disadvantage

The recent legislation concerning the teaching of history and critical race theory passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Gov. DeSantis may have placed Florida students at a disadvantage on several fronts.

Many college professors are given a great deal of autonomy regarding text and ancillary reading selections and will be presenting materials that are either at odds with what Florida students had been taught or information they have not been exposed to at all. Students who are enrolled in Advanced Placement United States history classes may be confronted in the DBQ (Document Based Questions) portion of the exam with material that they had not learned. Since the Advanced Placement program is one of the closest to a national curriculum, students in other states, who have not been so hindered, could outperform Florida’s top-notch high school seniors.

Additionally, future teachers who wish to teach outside Florida may be required to take the Praxis Subject Assessment examinations for state certification and licensure. The exam for history is sure to include material that has either been omitted or glossed over.

If Florida truly wants to be known as state that encourages academic excellence, the commissioner and the State Board of Education need to re-examine the importance of critical thinking skills and the general fund of knowledge that is required to be an educated and informed citizen.

Rep. Donalds made his positions clear

Mr. McGowan wrote eloquently and claimed moral high ground for what he perceives is support for a past president and how Byron Donalds is now viewed. He claims any support for Trump will shape Donalds’ legacy. While he claims to have voted for Donalds and supported his congressional run, the question that is begged to being asked is why?

Congressman Donalds spoke openly about his support for Trump. And Donalds spoke openly about election concerns. Seems this is exactly who ran for Congress.

McGowan also demands Rep. Donalds proclaim the victory of Joe Biden in our lawful elections. Again, why? Is this so different than many Democrats protesting the victory of Donald Trump?

And as a Libertarian, he would tend to lean toward less government and less taxes. Why would a Joe Biden presidency lead you to believe our freedoms will endure and our government will use our tax dollars efficiently?

Stop it with the liberal bias

Please stop!

Don’t you think it is about time you stop trying to force-feed your readers the liberal slop from Palm Beach and USA Today?

Why are most articles and letters to the editor slanted left and so anti-Trump and anti-DeSantis? Do you think publishing such liberal bias in conservative Southwest Florida will increase your circulation?

How can you be so ignorant to overlook the failures of Biden/Harris and BLM? Are you actually trying to encourage the new residents moving here from failing liberal states to continue their misguided voting patterns? Show me a state or city run by Democrats that is doing well.

Last I checked Florida is doing better today than it would under a Gov. Gillum. And America had lower gas prices, controlled borders and was in better shape under Trump, despite all the opposition and lies he had to deal with. He may have been narcissistic but his policies were right!

Please stop regurgitating Democratic talking points and offer more balance.
