The Red Devils have been in superb form under the Norwegian since he replaces Jose Mourinho.
And that has moved them within three points of the top four.
United could be without Anthony Martial this evening though as he has not been pictured with the squad arriving at the team hotel.
The Manchester Evening News also claim Eric Bailly, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Scott McTominay could miss the match.
That could mean a first appearance for Chris Smalling under Solskjaer.
Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo are out of the match through injury with the former being linked with a move away from Old Trafford before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Solskjaer spoke about Smalling and squad rotation ahead of the match with Burnley at Old Trafford.
“Chris has trained for a week now, so he’s looking good,” he said.
“It’s about when do we get him into the team.”
“So far, it’s been no problem,” he added. “We’ve got so many games. As soon as it becomes one game a week, it might be a problem.
“We rotate even during games. When we can put Anthony [Martial] and ‘Rashy’ [Marcus Rashford] on for Alexis and Rom, who did a fantastic job [at Arsenal], it is only going to help us.
“The players have been very, very good at staying ready and being ready when they get on.”
