Prince Harry, who is sixth in line to the British throne, celebrates his birthday today.

The Duke of Sussex turns 34 following an eventful year which saw him marry American actress Meghan Markle, 37, at Windsor Castle back in May.

The extravaganza was the biggest royal wedding of recent times and was watched by thousands of royal fans on the streets of London and an estimated 29 million people at home on their television sets.

The Prince, who is the youngest son of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales, has also been busy with the many charities he is associated with.

His work includes supporting children living with HIV and AIDS through his charity Sentebale, his work on mental health issues during the Heads Together campaign with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and ongoing African conservation.

In his 35th year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will embark on a royal visit to the Commonwealth Realms of Australia and New Zealand.

The October trip includes stops in Sydney, Melbourne, Fraser Island, Fiji, Tonga and Auckland and will focus of youth leadership as well as environmental and conservation efforts.

It also incorporates the 2018 Invictus Games which are being held in Sydney from October 20-27.

The event founded by Harry is for sick, wounded service men and women and attracts more than 500 competitors from over 15 nations.
