Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Tess Daly net worth 2018

Tess Daly, 49, will be presenting Strictly Come Dancing’s second live show this evening on BBC One. But how much is the presenter’s net worth?

Thanks to Tess’s impressive career she has amassed an impressive fortune over the years.

The model, novelist and TV presenter is a household name – and last year as part of the BBC Pay Report it was announced Tess was amongst the highest paid stars at the corporation. In 2017 it was reported Tess earned £350k to £399k, this will include her Strictly Come Dancing presenting wage.

According to, in 2017 the star’s total net worth was estimated to be £3million.

Tess has been a presenter on Strictly Come Dancing since 2004, co-hosting with the late Sir Bruce Forsyth. Since 2014, the presenter has hosted with Claudia Winkleman, 46.

The blonde star is a former model of Irish descent and was raised near New Mills, Derbyshire.

She married English television presenter, radio DJ and former model Vernon Kay in 2003.

The pair have two children, Phoebe Elizabeth Kay and Amber Isabella Kay, and live in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

Tess and Vernon’s comfortable lifestyle is often displayed on social media to the envy of their followers.

Their house in Beaconsfield boasts a large open-plan kitchen and living room area with glass doors which open out onto the garden.

The celebrity couple also have a private swimming pool in their back garden, which featured an inflatable flamingo this summer, according to Tess’s Instagram.

They even have two Shetland ponies, Honey and Willow, who roam in their huge garden.

Tess began her career as a model and was scouted outside of a McDonald’s in Manchester aged 18.

She worked as a model, based in Paris, for five years, and then worked in New York for another five years.

She appeared in two Duran Duran music videos and has been the face of La Senza lingerie in the UK. Tess has also been the face of L’Oreal since 2013.

Last week, Tess insisted she thinks the so-called Strictly Come Dancing curse could be about to strike some of this year’s contestants.

Speaking to Metro, the 49-year-old revealed she thought that some contestants could be about to find love with their professional dance partners.

She spilled: “This year’s single celebs could easily fall for their stunning dance partners.”

And, when quizzed about who she thought would make a good match, the TV favourite told the publication that any of the currently single stars could be about to find love.

However, Tess went on to explain that the blossoming romances usually came as a surprise.

Last year, former Emmerdale actor Gemma Atkinson and professional dancer Gorka Marquez sparked rumours they could be dating, and months later, the pair confirmed their relationship.
