A Fort Myers man accused of threatening a clerk is in jail after a Friday incident at a convenience store.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Andrew Slinkard, 37, of Fort Myers, who they slid over the counter at One Stop Outlet in the 16400 block of San Carlos Boulevard, and demanded money while threatening the clerk.
The clerk called 911 and deputies arrived shortly after.
LCSO’s K9 unit, aviation, and violent crimes deputies along with analysts at the real-time crime center found Slinkard at a nearby Walmart.
Slinkard will be taken to Lee County Jail and faces several felony charges, public information officers said.
Slinkard’s booking information has not been posted on LCSO’s arrest website yet, which will list charges and bond information.
